About the Tonoharu Hardcover Graphic Novel Volume 1

(W/A) Lars Martinson Daniel Wells works as an assistant junior high school teacher in the rural Japanese village of Tonoharu. Isolated by cultural and language barriers, he leads a monastic existence, save only for his inept pursuit of the company of a fellow American who lives in a nearby town.
